I was born and raised in New York state surrounded by the beautiful Hudson Valley landscapes. Here, I developed a love of art, animals, and nature. I work with a variety of media, including pastels, charcoal, and oil, and I love to experiment with different painting surfaces and papers.
I have a deeply held belief that we are energetically intertwined with with everything around us, and I create art to to highlight this connection. I share the spirit of my subjects with others who understand the deep connection and love we share with animals and nature, and I seek to bring out the personality and essence of my subjects. The human-animal connection is a strong bond that deserves to be honored in a way that can only be expressed through art.
As an animal lover I feel called to use my art to give back to the animal community by donating a percentage of my commission to an animal related charity. I feel blessed to have been able to bring awareness to the plight of animals in need and to have helped a number of charitable organizations.
